This Privacy Policy explains how CarPair, LLC (“CarPair,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, stores, shares, and uses your data (“Data”) in connection with our JusTrade services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal information. “Data” encompasses all information relating to you and your service use, categorized in Section 4. Separate agreements with specific terms governing Data handling supersede conflicting provisions in this policy. This policy applies to all online and offline interactions with us, although its application varies by user group.

Description of Services

 

JusTrade is an online platform connecting car buyers and sellers. JusTrade does not buy or sell vehicles. “Services” includes all functions, services, websites, platforms, mobile applications, tools, software, personalized content, and applications provided by JusTrade, whether currently existing or developed in the future.

 

Lawful Basis for Processing

 

Our lawful basis for processing your data is either your consent or our contract with you. By using the Services, you consent to our Data use as described herein. You may withdraw consent at any time, but this may limit your access to Services. Withdrawal does not affect our use of aggregated and anonymized Data for legitimate business purposes, nor does it prevent Data retention required by law or for legal claims preservation, or Data processed under a different lawful basis. Contracts formed via Service access, signed agreements, or online acceptance clauses establish a contractual basis for Data processing; consent withdrawal is only effective after contractual obligations are fulfilled. We comply with applicable laws and cease processing Data when legal rights, obligations, or lawful bases expire.

 

Intended Users

 

Services are for individuals 16 or older, or children under 18 under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect Data from users under 13, except to provide Services; such Data will be deleted promptly, subject to legal obligations. Data We Collect and How We Use It

 

The following Data categories are collected upon JusTrade account creation and acceptance of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy: Name, Email, Phone Number, Automobile Year/Model/Make/Miles/Lien Status, and VIN Number. We never sell your data and always have a lawful basis for its collection. We only use Data for its intended purpose unless you provide explicit consent otherwise.

 

Registration Data: Name, email address, contact information, username, account type, and membership end date (if applicable). Lawful basis: contract. Used to provide Services and, at your request, shared with third parties. You can opt out of receiving related offers at any time.

 

Engagement Data: Information you input or recorded regarding Service use (excluding Usage Data). This includes year, make, model, VIN, mileage, and lien status of listed automobiles. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interest in Service improvement. Accessible to you, us, and parties directly involved in transactions. We may use anonymized and aggregated Engagement Data at our discretion (including the right to sell it).

 

Usage Data: Information about your interactions with myjustrade.com, including date and time of requests, Third-Party Application use, advertising received, timing of posts and messages, interactions with customer service (excluding content), technical data (IP address, device information, browser type, etc.), and motion/orientation sensor data (if applicable). Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interest in Service improvement. Accessible to you and us. We may use anonymized and aggregated Usage Data at our discretion (including the right to sell it).

 

Payment Data: Information for processing payments (if applicable). This varies by payment method but may include name, date of birth, credit/debit card information, address, and phone number. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interest in Service improvement. Only shared with necessary parties for payment processing. Listing fees are processed through this system.

 

Advertising Data: We may host third-party advertising targeted based on anonymized user characteristics.

 

Specific Interactions

 

Current and Potential Employees: Data processing is based on contracts and legitimate interest in managing employee/contractor relationships. Data is used solely for employment purposes and only retained as required by law or for legal claims.

 

Automobile Dealers: Information necessary to initiate a vehicle listing is passed to the dealer, who manages the relationship directly. We only remain involved to ensure correct payments and reporting.

 

Sharing Your Information

 

Unless otherwise specified, we may share your Data: at your instruction; with vendors and service providers for Service provision; for third-party offers (with your consent); for aggregated, statistical information for business relationships; for third-party advertising (subject to advertiser privacy policies); with service providers for specific services; with internet service providers for targeted advertising (with their confidentiality obligations); in business transitions; for legal disclosures; and for publicly disclosed Data (e.g., usernames and followed playlists). Future Data uses for unlisted purposes require your explicit consent.

Your Choices

 

We only use your Data for marketing with your consent. To opt out of third-party marketing or marketing emails, contact info@myjustrade.com. To request cessation of other Data disclosures or use (excluding anonymized, aggregated Data and Data processed based on legitimate interests and contracts), contact info@myjustrade.com. You cannot opt out of administrative messages related to Service use.

 

Privacy for California Residents

 

We comply with California’s “Shine the Light” law and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). California residents have the right to request Data disclosure, deletion (subject to exceptions), and non-discriminatory treatment. You can designate an authorized agent. We will not disclose your Social Security number, driver’s license number, government-issued identification numbers, financial account numbers, health insurance or medical information, account password, or security questions and answers. Information regarding Data collected, disclosed, or sold is in Section 4. We do not sell your Data, but we do disclose certain categories to merchants whose businesses you visit through our Services, all as described in the section entitled “Data We Collect and How We Use It” above.
